What is special about being a creative in the area where you live?

Creative Cardiff is working in partnership with Arts Council of Wales to commission a creative practitioner from each of the local authority areas that make up the Cardiff Capital Region (Blaenau Gwent; Bridgend; Caerphilly; Merthyr Tydfil; Monmouthshire; Newport; Rhondda Cynon Taf; Torfaen; and Vale of Glamorgan) to produce a piece of work each that expresses what it means to be a creative in that area.

Our creative place is a paid commission (£1000 per practitioner) for self-employed creatives to celebrate where you live and work.

We want to work with you to further develop the story of a growing, and increasingly connected, creative community across the region.

The creative output could be a performance of a new piece of writing, an animation, a short film, a digital artwork, an object made and photographed, a piece of music set to visuals. These are examples, so please do not let them limit your imagination.

The story is yours to tell….
