Ynysangharad Park and National Lido is an historic family attraction and is Wales’ premier outdoor pool attraction and industrial themed adventure play park – the only one of its kind in Wales.
The Grade II listed lido has been restored and updated to suit today’s visitors. It has external and internal showers, heated changing facilities and three heated swimming pools, for families, dedicated swimmers and social swimmers of all ages and abilities.
Lido Ponty features a state-of-the-art Visitors’ Centre which tells the amazing story of The National Lido of Wales. Restored features include the 1920’s turnstiles and wooden cubicles, which complement the newly built Caffi Lido by Cleverchefs.
The Taff trail runs through the riverside park which is home to bowls, tennis and cricket facilities, as well as activities including footgolf and park runs. The adventure play area captures the imagination of our younger visitors as they explore the swings, slides and tunnels celebrating our proud industrial past.
No trip will be complete without stepping into our Visitor Centre, with heritage boards, interactive games and puzzles, large video screens and much more.
The maintenance of footpaths and lighting in addition to the enhancement of changing facilities at Ynysangharad Park were funded by the Welsh Government, through Valleys Regional Park.
